Latest COVID 19 update information

Important update 16th October 2020

Please note that school closes for  half term break on  Friday 16th  October and reopens on Monday 2nd November.

Currently all classes will be returning on Monday 2nd

3P Closed as of today 16th October

Year 4 still closed

Under advice from Public Health, we have had to close 3P today (16th October) alongside Year 4 to all staff and children. If your child is in Class 3P or Year4 - they MUST self isolate for 14 days.

Texts, DOJO information, phone calls and Letters will be sent to those involved.

Other family members can still come to school etc. There is NO NEED for year 4 children to take a test UNLESS the year 4 child shows any of the three symptoms. Other members of your household can continue normal activities provided your child does not develop symptoms within the 14 day self-isolation period. Please see the link to: Guidance for contacts of people with confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection who do not live with the person

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-contacts-of-people-with-possible-or-confirmed-coronavirus-covid-19-infection-who-do-not-live-with-the-person

For ALL OTHER CHILDREN and families...Letter for all parents

If you, your child or another member of your household is showing any symptoms of COVID19 please follow government guidelines, self isolate and call 119 or visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus and book a COVID19 test.

If self isolating please contact school to arrange work to be sent home (physically or remotely).

If your child is unwell with other illness please follow the usual protocols of keeping your child off for 48 hours after the last symptom

Potential closure of bubbles / school

We are working hard with our hygiene protocols to try to prevent any positive cases of COVID19 arising in school and ask all of our families to keep to government guidelines outside of school to help to keep the virus at bay. Year groups are working, eating and playing in 'bubbles' to help prevent them from coming into contact with too many people and to allow us to limited the number of people that potentially have to self isolate should we have a positive case.

Should a member of the school community test positive we will contact the Public Health Department for advice. This could result in a small group, class, year group or wider group of children being asked to self isolate. It is important that if asked this should be followed strictly (under current advice the rest of the family does not need to isolate unless someone in your household tests positive).

Should we need to close a bubble work will be provided through Class Dojo, Google Classroom (Y3-6) and paper based activities. If you have not already done so please complete the Google Form in this link to let us know whether your Y3-6 child would need to borrow a school device to access this learning. Unfortunately we have limited resources and cannot extend this offer to the whole school.
