Safeguarding is Everyone’s Responsibility

At Westminster Primary Academy and Children’s Centre we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, in line with the duty placed on us by section 175 of the Education Act 2002.

Our Safeguarding Policy sets out systems and procedures as outlined by relevant legislation and documentation including,
Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2021, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018, Safeguarding Children In Education – Safer Recruitment (2012),   and the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (The ‘Prevent Duty’).
We strongly believe that all children have the right to feel safe and to be protected from physical, sexual or emotional abuse and neglect.

Your children tell us that they feel very safe in our school.

Please share any concerns or suggestions in regards to safeguarding with us.

Speak to any member of our team or ask to speak to:
Designated Safeguarding Lead – Mrs Susan Collins

Deputy Safeguarding Officers – Mrs Annette Threlfall and Miss Terri Buchan
